GBL is dedicated to improving the lives of low-income workers around the world. We realized that this requires us to go beyond ​​conducting rigorous research on the impacts of workplace programs on workers and businesses.


GBL Ventures was created with a vision to significantly advance our impact; leveraging tech, product, and business expertise to scale the proven outcomes of our evidence-based research.


With our business-ready products and solutions as well as our established partnerships with a network of private-sector employers across labor-intensive industries (e.g., garment, electronics, and automobile manufacturing, retail, and foodservice) we offer experience and scale backed by cutting-edge research.

What is GBL Ventures ?

GBL Ventures is a unit of Good Business Lab that was created in 2021 to scale the impact of proven solutions by bringing design, technology, and business expertise in-house.


Currently, we are working on developing innovative, user-focused workplace technologies for labor-intensive manufacturing settings. Our products improve and assist day-to-day functions that affect both the business and its employees; e.g., communication between workers and managers.


Along with building G.R.E.A.T (good, research-based, enabling, accessible, transformative) products backed by rigorous research, we also re-engineer processes from the ground up to drive the adoption, usage, and effectiveness of developed solutions.

Supervisors' Transformation Into Change Holders (S.T.I.T.C.H.) is an in-person soft skills training program for supervisors that emphasizes enhancing the competencies and capacities of supervisors to effectively manage their key roles.

Winner of the MIT Solve challenge, 2022, SSUP is an Edtech platform that seeks to improve the quality of supervisors and increase the proportion of women in supervisory roles. SSUP uses smart prediction methods to measure the productivity of a potential manager and recommend training modules for upskilling, thereby boosting the productivity and wellbeing of the workers they manage.
